Congratulations to Grant Milling, medalist by 2 shots and Match Play Champion.  The field was small but mighty and Grant was able to capture the title that had eluded him, days before he moved to Nashville to become a State Farm agent. Logan Stauffer, who recently turned 25, is now eligible for mid amateur competitions.  He didn't wait long to make his mark as he won the 2018 CDGA Mid Amateur at Glen Oak CC.  He birdied the 53rd hole and calmly make a nice putt at the last for par to secure a 1 shot victory.  This victory, along with a top 10 in the State AM, allowed him to capture 2nd place in the CDGA points list.  He narrowly missed out at the USGA Mid Qualifier this year.  Congratulations Logan!

Logan Stauffer won the CDGA Mid Amateur and the BNGA Two-Man in 2018 making him the front runner in the BNGA Player of Year points list.  The area was well represented in state tournaments this year earning 5 of the top 12 spots on the CDGA year long points list.

Congratulations to Tyler Weaver as he shoots 68-68 (-8) Sunday in the 36 hole final held first at Ironwood and then at Crestwicke Country Club.  He nipped defending champion and medalist Mike Cushing by 1.  Scores continued to be impressive as 9 players broke par from the black tees at IW, showcasing the new 18th hole tee box near the entrance just past I55.
